We were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome we received upon arrival at Victoria Inn. The landlady went out of her way to make us feel at home and even treated us to a refreshing drink after a long day of traveling. Our room, although small, was clean and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The highlight of our stay was the delicious full English breakfast that kept us fueled for the day. Additionally, the location of the inn provided us with beautiful views of the village. we had a pleasant experience and would recommend Victoria Inn for those on a budget.

Friendly little pub that's great value - single room and nice breakfast only £25. Indian restaurant serves excellent food. Alston is an unusual and interesting little town in the middle of nowhere.

It was centrally located in the town with an excellent Indian restraunt attached, and the immediate countryside easily accesible.
The only problem was the lack of a hotel carpark, but this was not insurmountable as there was a public car park immediatly outside the hotel

The Victoria Inn was in Alston and that is where we wanted to stay. Our hostess was very personable and helpful. She made our stay very nice.

The service was friendly, and the host works hard to look after her guests. My single room was excellent with en suite facilities.
The mattress in number 2 should be renewed when finances permit.
